How did Timbercreek Acres begin?
My name is Cat Weil and I show three Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in dog agility and obedience trials.
Before I created the collapsible crates, I used to haul the metal kennels that weigh over 40 lbs. to each show. I would carry one crate at a time from the car to the show building, then assemble it. The third trip to the car was to get the dogs, crate them, and then park the car. By this time I was hot and exhausted from all the trips to the car. I then began experiencing back pain and began seeing a chiropractor. Now the dogs shows were really costing me more than just entry fees.
There had to be a easier way to do this. I started Timbercreek Acres in 1995 and came up with my own design for the collapsible crates using everything lightweight and durable. We have a patent pending of the "V" shaped zipper.
Now I park the car and make one trip! I carry two crates that are only 8 lbs each by the shoulder strap, a collapsible chair and the dogs on leashes. It doesn't get any easier than this.
